Creative Society

The aim of this key activity is to cultivate the social environment of the region, foster community development based on shared identity, knowledge of the past, and confidence in the future, mutual sharing of values, and the ability for collective action and effective resolution of societal problems.

The key activity is based on the principle of the evolutionary conditioning of transformation, i.e., “path dependency,” where the creation of a creative society is based, among other things, on knowledge of the past. Part of this key activity involves supporting cultural and creative industries (CCI), as culture and creativity are the main starting point for the economic and social transformation of the region. CCI also represent one direction for the economic restructuring of the area, thus creating new economic activities that can provide alternative employment in traditional sectors. The key activity also includes research leading to a conceptual solution for current transformational topics, accompanied by the introduction of a system for the professional education of public administration employees.
